On 13-14 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, is attending the Munich Security Conference (MSC).
Lithuania's head of diplomacy will speak at the MSC session "Spotlight on Belarus". During the conference, Budrys will meet with Foreign Ministers of the Nordic and Baltic countries, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs Maria Theresa Lazaro of the Philippines, the Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Kao Kim Hourn, the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Tomoko Akane, and others. The Minister will also attend an informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the conference. In total, over 20 ministerial meetings are scheduled during the MSC.
The Munich Security Conference is the largest security gathering, held for the 62nd time this year. The annual event brings together political leaders, academics, defence and business representatives to discuss challenges to international security and ways to overcome them.
