Transit alert: 5-Lower Muscatine bus stop on Bowery closed May 4 due to road work
On Monday, May 4, 2026, the inbound 5-Lower Muscatine bus route will not service the stop on Bowery Street at Van Buren Street (stop 8286) due to road work in the area.
Passengers who use the bus in the area have the choice of using multiple stops in the surrounding area, including:
- 5-Lower Muscatine bus at the stop on Dodge Street at Bowery Street (stop 7105)
- 1-South Iowa City bus on Gilbert Street at Bowery Street (stop 7008)
The inbound 5-Lower Muscatine bus will detour Dodge Street to Burlington Street to Gilbert Street to Court Street during this time.
