Planned Water Service & Traffic Disruption - Nov 3-6 - A1A: Thomas St. to North of Dania Beach Blvd

From November 3, 2025, until November 6, 2026, a section of the neighborhood around A1A and Sherman Street will be affected when workers replace a defective 12" water valve. Southeastern Engineering Contractors, Inc. has been hired by the City of Hollywood to complete this significant project. While the valve is being replaced, local residences and businesses will experience a brief interruption in water supply. Boiling water notices will be issued as necessary.

What to Know

• Work Hours: 10 p.m. - 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday.
• Work Zone Boundaries: N. Ocean Drive/A1A and Sherman Street.
• Traffic: Impacts are expected; traffic control measures will be in place as needed to protect public safety.
• Water Service Interruption: Water service will be temporarily interrupted from November 4th, 10 p.m. to November 5th, 5 a.m. for nearby homes and businesses during the valve replacement. The water customers affected are indicated in the map below. All properties along A1A from Thomas Street to the National Coast Guard for 3.6 miles will be impacted by the water main service interruption.

Resident Reminders

• Do not park vehicles or place personal items within the work zone or public right-of-way. Any items left in the area may be damaged, removed or lost at the owner's expense.
• If additional time or work is required, property owners in the project area will be notified directly.
