MercyOne Richard Deming Cancer Center is proud to announce that its radiation oncology program has been awarded a three-year accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR), recognizing the program's commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-centered cancer care.
The ACR accreditation is awarded to facilities that meet rigorous standards for quality assurance, patient safety, clinical excellence, and ongoing improvement. The achievement reflects the exceptional work of the radiation oncology team and the collaborative efforts of our colleagues throughout the cancer center.
"This accreditation is a testament to the tremendous work happening across our Cancer Center every day," said Trey Wiegand, MHA, regional director for oncology for MercyOne. "It demonstrates our continued commitment to quality, safety, clinical excellence, and providing exceptional care to the patients and families we serve."
The three-year accreditation recognizes the dedication, expertise, and attention to detail demonstrated by the radiation oncology team throughout the comprehensive evaluation process. The designation also underscores the program's focus on continuous improvement and adherence to nationally recognized standards of care.
"Achieving this accreditation reinforces the standard of excellence we strive for across the MercyOne Richard Deming Cancer Center," said Wiegand. "It reflects what we can accomplish when we work together with a shared focus on our patients."
