Hungry Horse Dam Visitor Center closes for season
HUNGRY HORSE, Mont. - The Bureau of Reclamation will close the Hungry Horse Visitor Center for the season on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025. The top of the dam will remain open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Until the seasonal closure, the visitor center remains open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. MDT, with its final day of operation on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Hungry Horse Dam is located off U.S. Highway 2 in Hungry Horse, Montana. Directional signs located on Highway 2 indicate the road leading to the visitor center. From Highway 2 travel about 4.5 miles to the visitor center at the north end of the dam.
