Moldovan-Azerbaijani bilateral agenda discussed by State Secretary Sergiu Mihov with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Chișinău

21 January 2026, Chișinău - State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergiu Mihov, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Moldova, Ulvi Vagif oglu Bakhshaliyev.

During the meeting, the interlocutors noted the positive dynamics of Moldovan-Azerbaijani relations and reviewed the priority topics on the bilateral agenda. Emphasis was placed on coordinating and carrying out bilateral visits this year, as well as organizing in Chișinău the next round of interministerial political consultations and the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Commercial and Economic Cooperation.

The discussions also addressed the expansion of the bilateral legal framework, recent developments in regional security, deepening commercial, economic, and sectoral cooperation, and the interaction of both countries within international organizations.
