New Defence Minister Ermal Nufi takes oath before the President

With his hand placed on the Constitution, the new Defence Minister, Ermal Nufi, took the oath before the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, during a special ceremony held at the Palace of Brigades.

Following the decree ceremony, Minister Nufi also reacted through a statement on social media, describing his new role as a major responsibility in service of national security and the country's interests:
"Today, from the decree ceremony at the Palace of Brigades, a new journey begins at the head of the Ministry of Defence, an important responsibility in service of national security and the interests of the Republic." - the new Defence Minister wrote.

Minister Nufi emphasized that this journey will be carried out in close cooperation with the personnel of the Armed Forces and all employees of the defence administration:
"A journey side by side with the men and women in uniform and with all those who serve every day within the defence system, with dedication, professionalism, and a strong sense of duty to the Homeland." the Defence Minister stated.

Following the oath-taking ceremony, the Defence Minister, together with six other ministers approved by Parliament, officially assumed office today.
