PPC STRENGTHENS CSO PARTICIPATION IN PROVINCIAL GOVERNANCE

Third District Board Member Atty. Bambi Depasucat Sason, was the guest of honor, representing acting Gov Jose Benito Alonso during the recently held Provincial People's Council (PPC) Strategic Planning and Capacity Development Workshop.

Attended by the city and municipal people's council representatives led by its president Sandie Saluria of Muricia, the two day gathering was organized by the Provincial Planning and Development Office in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government held at Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary.

In her message, BM Depasucat - Sason underscored the crucial role that PPC members play in their localities and the Province as the official representatives of the Civil Society Organizations .

PPC president Saluria will sit as the 16th CSO member in the Provincial Development Council (PDC), when it convenes on its 3rd quarter meeting on September 9, 2026.

LGOO VII Eve Vistar served as the resource person during the interactive duscussion in the formulation of the PPC Constitution and By Laws formulation and in the crafting of the council's vision, mission and goals.

ARD and Provincial Director of DILG Teodora Sumagaysay for her part, lauded the provincial government for initiating the formation of the PPC and the strategic planning workshop.

The strong partnership and colaboration between the CSOs and government Sumagaysay said has been proven to bring positive impacts, particularly in advocating accountability, integrity and inclusivity in governance.

The PPC members also received their uniforms provided by the Office of the Governor and through Provincial Administrator Atty Rayfrando P. Diaz II.*
