"I am pleased to partner with the Alabama Office of Minority Affairs to hold the first-ever resource summit in Union Springs that directly responded to the needs of 2nd District residents," said Rep. Figures. "Not only did the summit provide my constituents with free food, health, career, and winter preparedness resources, but it also put smiles on the faces of so many of our neighbors. I am grateful to all of our partners who made this event possible."

During the event, Rep. Figures also joined with Bullock County Sheriff Raymond Rogers to announce that he secured $1.031 million for the Bullock County Sheriff's Department during the FY2025 appropriation process. "This funding is a huge deal for the Sherriff's Department, and is a part of my ongoing efforts to support law enforcement officers and first responders throughout the 2nd District who put their lives at risk every day to keep our community safe."
