Minor General Aviation Incident at Quad Cities International Airport

MOLINE, Ill. - At approximately 9:30 a.m. today, a local general aviation aircraft exited the end of a runway at Quad Cities International Airport.

No injuries were reported, and the aircraft sustained only minor damage.

Due to the location of the aircraft and out of an abundance of caution, the airfield was temporarily closed while airport personnel inspected the affected area and ensured it was safe for normal operations.

The incident involved a general aviation aircraft and did not involve a commercial airline flight.

The Quad Cities International Airport appreciates the patience of travelers and airport users while crews completed the necessary safety inspection.
