Indictment of Christopher Garon for the Murder of Linda Dionne

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield announce that Christopher Garon (age 33) has been indicted by the Belknap County Grand Jury in connection with the death of his mother, Linda Dionne, in Laconia, New Hampshire on April 14, 2026.

Mr. Garon was indicted on one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing Mrs. Dionne's death by strangling her, and an alternative count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Mrs. Dionne under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by strangling her.

Mr. Garon continues to be held without bail. Mr. Garon's arraignment is currently scheduled to take place at 8:30am on September 9, 2026, in the Belknap County Superior Court.

The charges against Mr. Garon are only allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
