Frederick County Farmers and Agribusiness Invited to Participate in Agricultural Workforce Study

FREDERICK, Md. - Local farmers and agricultural businesses are invited to participate in the Frederick County Office of Agriculture's Workforce Study. This study will help the County better understand current needs, challenges, and opportunities facing the local agriculture labor force.

"The Agricultural Workforce Study is a vital tool for ensuring the long-term sustainability and resilience of Frederick County's farming community," said Katie Stevens, Director of the Frederick County Office of Agriculture. "By gathering input from our farmers and agribusinesses today, we can better address workforce challenges and seize opportunities that will strengthen our local agriculture for generations to come."

This study supports priorities identified in the 2025 Agriculture Strategic Plan, which called for the creation of an annual workforce study to inform decision-making and long-term planning. The data collected in the study will help guide future programming, policies, and resource allocation to strengthen and sustain the Frederick County Agricultural Industry.

To participate in the study, visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/AgWorkforceStudy. The study will remain open until Friday, June 5 at 4 p.m.
