PR No. 127 CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT D.I. KHAN SEIZES SMUGGLED GOODS AND VEHICLES WORTH P

Customs Enforcement Division, D.I. Khan, under the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Peshawar, seized smuggled goods and offending carrier vehicles with a combined estimated value of PKR 66 million during a series of major anti-smuggling operations.

The seized goods, valued at approximately PKR 48.5 million, include foreign-origin cigarettes of assorted brands, betel nuts, poppy seeds, coffee, milk cream, auto parts, submersible motors, gents' clothing, tyres, MSG spice, inverters, and one non-duty-paid (NDP) Toyota Prius motor car.

In addition, carrier vehicles used for transportation of the smuggled goods were also confiscated. These include one Mazda truck, two Bedford trucks, one pickup vehicle, and one Suzuki pickup, with a combined estimated value of PKR 17.5 million.

Legal proceedings under the Customs Act, 1969 have been initiated, and further investigation is underway.

These enforcement actions underscore FBR's firm commitment to curbing smuggling, protecting legitimate trade, and safeguarding government revenue.
