On 19th October, Consul General Qin Jie gave an interview to The Times of India at the photo exhibition in Bengaluru in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and answered questions on China-India cooperation.
Consul General Qin Jie said China and India have recently adopted positive measures to keep warming bilateral relations. India has resumed processing tourist visas for Chinese citizens, and direct flights between the two countries will soon be resumed. So far, the Consulate General has issued more than 80,000 visas. China and India have much in common, including time-honored history, kind people, huge population and market, and critical stage of development. The two countries should enhance cooperation, help each other succeed and bring benefit to the two peoples. China and India also need to play the role of leaders of developing countries in upholding multilateralism and jointly responding to global challenges.
