R+L Carriers Opens New Michigan Service Center

8/24/2026 - Wilmington, Ohio - Ohio-based transportation company R+L Carriers is pleased to announce the opening of a new service center in Wayland, Michigan (GRR). Officially designated the "Grand Rapids" terminal, this facility will replace the previous Kentwood location, moving operations just over 10 miles southwest.

Located at 4164 Division Avenue, the GRR service center boasts 160 dock doors, a six-bay maintenance shop, four-lane fuel island and 7,500 square feet of office space. This facility also features space to install another 90 dock doors to accommodate growing demand. It is well-positioned to deliver freight along the U.S. Route 131 corridor, as well as other surrounding locales, including Kentwood, Wyoming, Hudsonville and Holland. In addition to Grand Rapids, R+L Carriers maintains active Michigan service centers in Battle Creek, Detroit and Grayling.
