ST. LOUIS -People who use the Loughborough Avenue or Weber Road interchanges on Interstate 55 are invited to attend an upcoming open house style public meeting TODAY to learn the most recent information on the bridge replacement projects planned for 2027.
The meeting is TODAY, August 24, from 4-7 p.m. at the St. Louis Public Library, Carondelet Branch, 6800 Michigan Avenue, St. Louis MO 63111. This is not a program sponsored by, or affiliated with, the St. Louis Public Library. There is no formal presentation, so attendees are welcome to attend any time.
The public meeting will discuss the planned bridge replacement, including designs for the replacement bridges, adjustments to interstate ramps and potential construction schedules. In addition, the city of St. Louis will share plans for the replacement of the Loughborough Avenue bridge over Union Pacific Railroad, just to the west of the interstate. The bridge over the railroad and MoDOT's bridge over the interstate will be completed at the same time to reduce the overall impact due to construction.
The meeting is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.
For those who are unable to attend the meeting in person, the information shared during the meeting as well as a comment form are available at: MoDOT.org - Interstate 55 bridge replacement at Loughborough and Weber. People are welcome to view the information and provide comments about the project until Wednesday, September 8.
