Excelitas®, the leading provider of advanced, life-enriching technologies that make a difference, serving global market leaders in the MedTech, Life Sciences, Advanced Industrial, next-generation Semiconductor and Avionics end markets, today announced the launch of its enhanced OmniCure® AC Series UV LED curing platform, delivering higher irradiance, improved uniformity, advanced process control, and expanded wavelength options to support a broad range of industrial curing applications. The enhanced AC Series includes the AC8⁺, AC9⁺, and AC8⁺HD systems and is designed to help manufacturers increase throughput, improve product quality, and reduce operating costs.
The OmniCure AC Series provides high-performance UV LED curing solutions for adhesives, coatings, and inks in demanding manufacturing environments. Featuring advanced optics, patented LED control technology, and a compact air-cooled design, the systems deliver precise, repeatable curing performance while simplifying integration into both new and existing production lines. Multiple UV LED heads can be combined to create larger curing areas while maintaining exceptional output uniformity across the entire cure width.
"Our enhanced OmniCure AC Series reflects Excelitas' continued commitment to innovation in UV LED curing technology," said Peter Cop, Director of Product Management at Excelitas, "Manufacturers are seeking curing solutions that deliver greater productivity, lower operating costs, and long-term reliability while supporting evolving sustainability and regulatory requirements. The new AC Series addresses these needs with industry-leading performance, intelligent process control, and flexible integration capabilities."
The enhanced AC Series delivers increased curing power across the portfolio. The AC8⁺ platform provides irradiance of 10 W/cm², while the AC9⁺ platform delivers 14 W/cm² for higher throughput applications. For manufacturers requiring maximum UV energy and dose output, the AC8⁺HD system provides 15 W/cm² peak irradiance to support faster production speeds and demanding cure requirements. New 365 nm wavelength options are now available on the AC9⁺ and AC8⁺HD systems, further expanding application versatility.
Key benefits of the enhanced OmniCure AC Series include:
A key differentiator of the AC Series is Excelitas' innovative LED module-level control technology, which enables real-time uniformity optimization during operation without taking the system offline. Manufacturers can maintain better than ±5% uniformity across the curing area, simplify balancing in multi-head installations, and tailor UV output to changing process requirements. This technology also supports optimization of curing performance on irregular substrate contours and varying process widths.
As environmental regulations continue to evolve worldwide, UV LED curing is increasingly being adopted as a sustainable alternative to conventional mercury-based curing technologies. The OmniCure AC Series helps manufacturers reduce energy consumption, eliminate mercury-containing lamps, avoid ozone generation, and support corporate sustainability initiatives while maintaining high production performance.
