Another restoration through the City of Waco Housing & Community Development's Owner-Occupied Home Rehabilitation Program!
We are proud to share Carol Salcedo's story. After living in Waco for nearly 65 years, Carol needed significant repairs she couldn't afford. This wasn't just about repairs. It was about preserving a multi-generational home.
Thanks to the program, her home now includes a new foundation, roof, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system, along with a fully updated kitchen, an ADA-accessible bathroom, new windows, flooring, and fresh paint. It's now a safe and energy-efficient space where her family can gather!
Watch the video to hear Carol's heartwarming experience and how the Home Rehabilitation Program has been a true blessing for her, her loved ones, and future generations.
The City of Waco Housing & Community Development Department works to create opportunities for all Waco residents to access decent, safe housing that they can afford in communities where they can thrive. Through the department, the City of Waco offers down payment assistance, home rehabilitation programs, and grant opportunities for local organizations.
The application period for the Owner-Occupied Home Rehabilitation Program is currently closed. Check back later to learn more about future opportunities.
