Similar to previous years, the fifth call for proposals sought project proposals offering young Europeans online spaces with curated content, allowing them to compare perspectives from across Europe and discover how their interests link to interests of youngsters in other countries, as well as to relevant EU initiatives.
The four selected projects started recently and will last 14 months. Projects operate with full editorial independence.
SPHERA Movement builds on previous experience gained in SPHERA, co-funded in previous editions of this call for proposals. It gathers 10 media organisations (Médianes, Europod, Dinamo, Arty Farty, Street Press, El Salto Diario, Krytyka Polityczna, VDNews.tv, 444.hu and Popaganda.gr) to produce content and events for age group 16-30 in at least 7 languages (English, French, Spanish, Polish, Italian, Hungarian and Greek).
The project will receive up to €1.66 million.
ENTR also builds on the experience gained in previous grants. It gathers Deutsche Welle, France Médias Monde, RFI Romania, G4media (RO), RTP Portugal, Ringier Axel Springer Polska, Are We Europe NL, Dir.BG, Central Médiacsoport and the Bonn Institute to produce content for age group 18-34 in 10 languages (English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Bulgarian, Dutch, Slovak and Hungarian).
The project will receive up to €3.17 million.
