Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Africa CDC Laboratory Technology Training Workshop

On November 3, H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union attended the opening ceremony of the Africa CDC Laboratory Technology Training Workshop and delivered a speech. H.E. Dr Jean Kaseya, Director General of Africa CDC, Minister Counsellor Lyu Ruihao, Counsellor Wang Ligui, Chinese and African experts, and all the participants were present. The training workshop, co-organized by China CDC and Africa CDC, was held for the first time at the headquarters of Africa CDC.

Amb. Jiang congratulated on the successful convening of the Training Workshop and underscored the Workshop is part of a series of efforts in the implementation of "Partnership Action for Health" of FOCAC, showcasing the consistent support for Africa CDC from China. China is willing to work closely with Africa to deepen public health cooperation and build a high-level China-Africa health community for all.

Dr Kaseya thanked China for its firm support for Africa CDC and pointed out that the Workshop starts a new chapter in public health capacity building across Africa. He expressed the Africa's readiness to closely cooperate with China and to jointly promote Africa's health cause to new heights.
