Celebrating Good Deeds

Last week, over 100 volunteers came together for Dorothy Mae Good Deeds Day in the Lincoln Village neighborhood in #RanchoCordova. Volunteers helped clean up lawns, provided landscaping services and completed other projects, all at no cost to residents.

The event was hosted by Sacramento Neighborhood Housing Services and supported by partners including The Home Depot, El Dorado Savings Bank, U.S. Bank, SMUD, UNIDOS and the City of Rancho Cordova.

"Beautifying a neighborhood is about more than improving the look of a home or a street. It's about creating a place where people feel proud to live and connected to their community. That's what makes Good Deeds Day so special. It brings people together to care for their neighbors and make a meaningful difference," said Community Engagement Analyst Matt Buland.

Good Deeds Day is a great example of what can happen when neighbors, businesses and community partners come together to make a difference.
