Broadband: open market review 2026

We are seeking information from broadband infrastructure and internet providers on their broadband infrastructure.

How to respond

Consultation ends:
25 August 2026
Consultation launched:
14 July 2026

Consultation description

We are asking all recognised broadband infrastructure and internet providers for information on their plans in Wales.

We want to understand where investment in broadband infrastructure has already occurred or is planned in the next 3 years. To do this we are asking for details, at premises level, on coverage and plans for Next Generation Access (NGA) broadband infrastructure delivering at least 30Mbps

This will help us map which properties in Wales currently receive or have plans to receive NGA broadband within the next 3 years and which do not.
