Sen. Ossoff Expanding Mental Health Resources for Hispanic Families

Norcross, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is expanding mental health services for Hispanic families across metro Atlanta.

Bringing Republicans and Democrats in Congress together, Sen. Ossoff is delivering new funding to help Ser Familia expand mental health services for seniors and families in Cobb, Gwinnett, and Clayton counties.

Sen. Ossoff is delivering $500,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.

"There are real and ongoing mental health concerns for people in Georgia and across the county, and it's an issue we must address," Sen. Ossoff said. "Working with Republicans and Democrats, I'm delivering these resources to help ensure families can get the mental health care they need and deserve."

"Senator Jon Ossoff's support for this federal appropriation is an investment in the dignity and well-being of our older adults. At Ser Familia, we see how isolation, grief, trauma, and chronic stress can affect seniors and their families. This funding will strengthen our Mental Health Programming for Seniors so more older adults can access counseling, support groups, and community connection. We are grateful to Senator Ossoff for championing the mental health needs of Georgia's seniors," said Belisa M. Urbina, CEO of Ser Familia.
