Don't Forget:

When submitting a transaction in FSLSO SLIP+, the filing surplus lines agent policy fee must be reported in the Surplus Lines Agent Policy Fee field and should not be included in the Premium field.

Amounts that should be entered in the Premium field include charges such as membership, survey, inspection, service, and similar fees associated with the insurance contract, but excludes the surplus lines agent policy fee, FSLSO service fee, taxes, and assessments. Surplus lines agent fees must be included in the calculation of the surplus lines premium tax.

Proper disclosure and accurate reporting of policy fees help ensure compliance and reduce common filing errors. For complete requirements, you can refer to Florida Statute 626.916 and the Agent Procedures Manual.
