Henderson Detention Center Reports In-Custody Death
HENDERSON, Nev. (Sept. 30, 2026) - On September 29, 2026, corrections officers at the Henderson Detention Center located an unresponsive adult male inmate while conducting routine inmate checks. Staff immediately began lifesaving measures; however, the inmate was pronounced deceased at the detention center by medical personnel.
The 49-year-old inmate had been in custody at the Henderson Detention Center since September, 28, 2026, on a failure to appear warrant related to a 2025 misdemeanor petit larceny charge.
The identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
This is the first death of 2026 at the Henderson Detention Center.
