Responding to the Middle East conflict

The Ministry of Health is leading the health sector's response to the Middle East conflict as part of the All-of-Government approach.

We are working closely with Health NZ, Pharmac, and other health agencies to identify any emerging risks early and manage them in a coordinated way.

At this stage, there are no impacts on New Zealanders' access to health services or medicines.

National Fuel Plan

The Government has announced updates to the National Fuel Plannorth_eastfor responding to fuel supply uncertainty.

We're working with the All-of-Government response to make sure health services can keep running as the Fuel Plan is updated.

Our priority will be ensuring people can continue to access the health services, medicines and medical devices they need.

We will provide regular updates on this page as further information becomes available.

Additional information relevant to the health sector and services may be found on the Pharmac websitenorth_east.

Further information about the fuel response framework can be found on the MBIE websitenorth_east.
