All City of Alexandria government offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. Some facilities will also be closed on Saturday, July 4.
Other schedule changes and closures are listed below.
Friday, July 3: ACPS schools and offices are closed.
Friday, July 3: DASH bus service will operate on a Saturday-Sunday schedule. Lines 102, 103, and 104 will not operate.

The free King Street Trolley operates from King Street Metro to City Hall/Market Square with service every 15 minutes, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, including holidays.
Please note that DASH Administrative Offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.
Friday, July 3: Open for adoptions from noon to 7 p.m.
Saturday, July 4: Closed.

Friday, July 3: The General District Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, Court Service Unit, Circuit Court, and the Clerk of Circuit Court will be closed.

Friday, July 3: Alexandria Health Department, Flora Krause Casey Health Center, and the Teen Wellness Center clinics will be closed.
Friday, July 3: Alexandria Archaeology Museum, the Alexandria Black History Museum, the Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum, the Fort Ward Museum and Historic Site, Freedom House Museum, Gadsby's Tavern Museum, and the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, July 4: Alexandria Archaeology Museum will be closed. The Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum will be open until 7 p.m. All other Historic Alexandria Museums will be open for their regularly scheduled Saturday hours.
Friday, July 3: Closed.
The City's impound lot is closed on all weekends and observed City holidays. Fees will continue to accrue on Saturday and Sunday, but not on holidays.
Friday, July 3: All Alexandria Libraries will be closed.
Saturday, July 4: All Alexandria Libraries will be closed.
Friday, July 3: The Alexandria Police Department will suspend enforcement of parking restrictions at metered spaces and residential permit parking districts. This suspension of enforcement applies only to the restrictions at legal parking spaces and does not permit parking in any normally prohibited location. Temporary no-parking signs will be enforced.
Friday, July 3: Memorial Pool, Old Town Pool, and Warwick Pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. All other City of Alexandria recreation facilities and nature centers will be closed.
Saturday, July 4: Memorial Pool, Old Town Pool, and Warwick Pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Minnie Howard Aquatics Facility will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All other City of Alexandria recreation facilities and nature centers will be closed.
There will be no service delays to residential refuse, recycling, yard waste, and curbside food waste collection for Independence Day.
Saturday, July 4: The Household Hazardous Waste Electronic Collection Drop-off Center will be closed. The Center is always closed on Fridays.
Friday, July 3: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, July 4: The Torpedo Factory Art Center is closed on Independence Day.
