The City of Rancho Cordova is working side by side with our community to shape the future of walking, biking, and rolling in our city. Together, we're creating an Active Transportation Plan that will guide improvements to sidewalks, bike lanes, trails, and crossings-making it safer and easier for everyone to get around, while building a more connected Rancho Cordova where neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and parks are linked in ways that work for everyone.
During Phase 1 of the plan, more than 1,200 residents shared their voices. Community members told us that safety is a top priority, along with the need to fill in missing sidewalks, strengthen bike connections, improve comfort and lighting, and create better trails and protected bike lanes. We also heard location-specific feedback from neighborhoods across Rancho Cordova, including Coloma, Sunrise Boulevard, Anatolia, and Stone Creek
Phase 2 is all about confirming the vision. This next step gives residents the opportunity to review the draft bike and pedestrian network, weigh in on priorities for improvements, and help shape ideas for the corridors that connect neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and parks. It's your chance to tell us what matters most as we prepare the final plan.
There are many ways to get involved this fall:
Your voice is at the heart of the Active Transportation Plan. Whether you walk to school, bike to work, or simply enjoy an evening stroll with your family, the decisions we make together will shape a safer, more connected, and more comfortable Rancho Cordova for years to come.
