Kaleida Health bringing next-generation Fujifilm endoscopy technology to Western New York

Kaleida Health is advancing gastrointestinal (GI) care by introducing Fujifilm's latest endoscopy technology at Buffalo General Medical Center (BGMC) and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital (MFSH).

The transition marks Kaleida Health's first move to Fujifilm equipment after nearly two decades using Olympus technology.

The investment includes Fujifilm's 800 Series endoscopes and 8000 Series processors, one of the most advanced endoscopy platforms available. Kaleida Health will be among the first healthcare organizations in the country, and the first in Western New York, to implement this system.

This investment demonstrates a commitment to providing patients with access to the most advanced technology available. It strengthens the ability to deliver high-quality gastrointestinal care and supports physicians in providing the best possible outcomes for patients across the region.

The new platform introduces 4K imaging into GI procedure rooms, delivering sharper visualization and enhanced detail during procedures. It also expands access to a wider range of advanced scopes used for colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). These improvements support more accurate detection, diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.

As demand for GI services continues to grow, Kaleida Health remains focused on investing in innovation, clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
