Prospect Partners Announces Sale of Wedgewood Weddings

Chicago, Ill. - June 24, 2025: Prospect Partners ("Prospect"), a leading private equity firm investing in pre-middle market companies, announced that it has sold its majority stake in Wedgewood Weddings ("Wedgewood" or the "Company") to TJC, L.P. ("TJC"). Bill Zaruka (CEO) will continue to lead Wedgewood alongside its talented management team as the business enters its next stage of transformative growth with TJC. Prospect initially recapitalized the Temecula, CA-based business with management in January 2014.

Founded by John and Linda Zaruka in 1986 in Ventura, CA, Wedgewood pioneered an all-inclusive offering of wedding services that provided tremendous value and quality to its guests. Today, Wedgewood offers a unique, all-inclusive wedding platform to consumers across eight states and more than 75 exclusive venues hosting over 11,000 weddings per year. This superior solution reduces stress, saves time, and offers price transparency, allowing couples to enjoy the wedding journey and their wedding day to the fullest.

During Prospect's investment, the Company further built out its leadership team, made significant investments into technology, expanded geographically, and completed numerous add-on acquisitions across the U.S. Today, Wedgewood employs ~2,000 team members across its venues and is the largest wedding service venue operator in the U.S.
