New ReMA Member Spotlight: Atlas Metal Exchange

Based in Peoria, AZ, Atlas Metal Exchange LLC sources metals with reliable grading, transparent logistics, and fast documentation for mills and processors worldwide. The recycled metal trading and export company has been in business for a few years and over that time has been strong sourcing networks and export channels.

ReMA News spoke with Shashi Kant Tiwari, CEO of Atlas Metal Exchange, all about the company, his decision to join ReMA, and where he sees the industry moving forward.

Tell me about yourself and your company.

I'm the CEO of Atlas Metal Exchange, a recycled metal trading and export company based in Peoria, Arizona. We've been in business for a few years now. Our focus is on connecting recycled metal supply with global demand efficiently and responsibly. We're a growing operation, and we take pride in contributing to the circular economy through every transaction.

How did you hear about ReMA? And how did you decide to join?

I heard about ReMA through industry contacts who are already members. They spoke highly of the association's credibility and the doors it opens in the recycled materials space. Once I looked into it further, joining felt like a natural next step - it aligns perfectly with where we want to take our business.

What excites you about being a new ReMA member?

What excites me most is access to a community of serious, like-minded professionals in the recycled materials industry. I'm looking forward to learning from established players, staying ahead of industry developments, and building relationships that can strengthen our export operations.

What are your short-term and long-term goals for the company?

In the short term, we want to deepen our supplier relationships and expand into new export markets. Long term, our goal is to become a recognized and trusted name in recycled metal exports, with a diversified portfolio and the scale to handle larger volumes consistently. Another one of our bigger goals is moving into rare earth metals.

Where do you see the recycled materials industry moving in the next several years?

I see the industry becoming more regulated, more technology-driven, and more globally integrated. ESG pressures on manufacturers will drive higher demand for recycled inputs, which is a big opportunity for traders and exporters like us. Companies that invest in traceability and quality standards now will be best positioned to benefit from that shift.
