All Kids Can Named As Beneficiary of Christmas For A Cause 2026

Peoples Bank in Sioux Center is excited to partner with All Kids Can for the 6th annual Christmas For A Cause at Heritage Village in Sioux Center.

The family-friendly event, which is free and open to the public, will feature festive walk-through Christmas light displays throughout Heritage Village, creating a fun holiday experience for all ages. The Christmas displays are set up each year by dedicated employees from Peoples Bank, Wealth Management Group, and Insurance, who work together to create a holiday tradition for the community and surrounding area. In addition to the lights, attendees will have the opportunity to support All Kids Can.

About All Kids Can

All Kids Can is a non-profit umbrella ministry which developed under the encouragement of Simply Grace Ministries. Simply Grace is designed to empower women to use their God-given gifts and talents to birth new ministries in the community. Seeing a disparity in the schools of student involvements in healthy activities such as sports and music due to increasing costs in camps, apparel, and equipment, three women on the current board met one morning in 2009 to begin brainstorming the mission and purpose of All Kids Can. In a very short time, it became apparent that not only was the need viable, but many other adults in the community shared a commitment and passion to make activities equitable for all kids in our community. Because of this, a strong foundation and committee began its work.

Initially, needs were met on a one-at-a-time basis trusting God to match each need with a donator. Eventually, money was raised through fundraisers tied to child activities such as a girls' basketball tournament and softball tournament as well as concessions at dance recitals and help with the Sioux Center Triathlon.

All Kids Can's belief is that involved kids are healthy kids and that God desires these same opportunities for all His children. All kids can and should have every opportunity to be involved regardless of obstacles such as finances, transportation, or lack of resources. Students who participate in extracurricular activities learn to compromise, cooperate, resolve conflicts, and work together as a team.

Their mission is to make activities accessible to children of all ages through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and to provide consistent support and encouragement along the way in the Sioux Center, Iowa, community. Romans 11:6 says, "But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise, grace would no longer be grace."

"Being the recipient of this year's Christmas For A Cause is truly a gift, not only for the generous donations given but for the opportunity we have to teach and spread the word of what All Kids Can is and who we serve! What a gift it is for us to share our ministry this holiday season," says All Kids Can Board President Barb Hoekstra.

Funding for All Kids Can is provided through various fundraisers and the blessings and generosity of organizations, businesses, and personal donations.

Event Details

This year's event will run from Friday, November 27 through Saturday, December 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM each night at Heritage Village. Admission is free, and all freewill donations will benefit All Kids Can. Donation boxes and QR Codes will be at the event, or you can give through Venmo. Please note Christmas For A Cause in the description.

Hot Chocolate at Doc's

All Kids Can volunteers will be serving hot chocolate inside Doc's Café at Heritage Village for a freewill donation to All Kids Can. Hot chocolate at Doc's will be open from 6:00-9:00 PM on the following weekends and dates: November 27 & 28 and December 4 & 5 (Sioux Center's Hometown Holidays), 11 & 12, and 18 & 19 (weather permitting).
