Bank Independent Aligns Finance and Accounting to Support Continued Growth

Bank Independent has announced an alignment of its Finance and Accounting organization to strengthen financial oversight, establish dedicated treasury leadership and support the bank's continued growth.

The alignment includes the creation of a Treasurer position and changes to accounting leadership and reporting responsibilities. The structure is designed to provide the expertise, transparency and capacity needed to meet the increasingly complex financial needs of a multibillion-dollar bank.

"As Bank Independent grows, we are intentional about building the financial foundation to support that growth," said Adam Compton, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "This alignment creates a clearer focus across treasury and accounting, strengthens our financial oversight and gives our team the capacity to serve the organization effectively for years to come."

Lori Hall will serve as Senior Vice President-Treasurer, reporting to Compton. The newly established role provides dedicated leadership for liquidity, investments, balance sheet management, pricing and financial risk.

Macy Gooch will serve as Assistant Vice President-Controller, also reporting to Compton.

Samantha Hayes will serve as Assistant Controller and Interstate Billing Service Director of Accounting, reporting to Gooch. Based at the Interstate Billing Service offices in Decatur, Hayes will support accounting responsibilities for both organizations.

Krystal Craig, Invoice Analyst and Budgeting Officer, will report to Hall, supporting budgeting, invoice analysis and broader financial operations.

Together, these changes establish a structure that supports the expanding scope of Finance and Accounting while positioning Bank Independent to meet future organizational needs.

"Strong financial leadership supports every part of our bank," Compton said. "By aligning these responsibilities, we are investing in the people and structure that help us make informed decisions, manage resources responsibly and continue making a positive difference in people's lives."
