National recognition highlights Franklin's commitment to serving military spouses and dependents through flexible, career-focused education

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Franklin University has been designated a 2026-2027 Military Spouse Friendly® School in the Graduate School category, earning the Friendly designation from Military Friendly®, a nationally recognized organization that evaluates institutions based on their support of military-connected students and families.

The designation recognizes colleges and universities that demonstrate a commitment to helping military spouses achieve their educational and career goals through accessible, flexible, and supportive learning environments. Franklin's recognition follows the University's March announcement that it had been named a 2026-2027 Military Friendly® Graduate School, further reinforcing its dedication to serving the broader military community.

Military spouses play a critical role in supporting service members and their families, often while navigating frequent moves, career disruptions, and changing responsibilities. This designation reflects Franklin University's commitment to creating educational pathways that help military spouses continue their academic journeys and advance their careers regardless of where life and service take them.

Military Friendly® ratings are based on both public and proprietary data collected through the annual Military Friendly® survey, which is available at no cost to institutions nationwide. Survey topics are developed with input from an independent Advisory Council of experts in veteran and military education. Institutions are evaluated on factors that measure their ability to support student success and outcomes for military-affiliated learners.

Franklin University serves military spouses and dependents through flexible online degree programs, transfer-friendly policies, dedicated support resources, and guidance on military education benefits. Designed for working adults and learners balancing multiple responsibilities, Franklin's programs enable students to continue their education from virtually anywhere in the world.

As one of Ohio's leading institutions for adult learners, transfer students, veterans, active-duty service members, military spouses, and dependents, Franklin continues to expand access to affordable, career-relevant education that helps learners achieve their personal and professional goals.
