FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. - Beginning May 18, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will resume road construction on Brotherton Road within Chickamauga Battlefield. During this construction, visitors should expect the closure of Brotherton Road, between LaFayette Road and Alexander's Bridge Road. This project will not affect the official Chickamauga Battlefield tour route.

The project will provide routine road-paving maintenance to improve visitor safety and enhance the overall visitor experience. The park anticipates completing the project by late June.

For everyone's safety, motorists should slow down and use caution when approaching construction workers or equipment.
