World Health Day | Acting for quality healthcare in Africa

Health is at the heart of our social commitment.

Through CFAO Healthcare, we guarantee access to quality medicines and ensure their integrity-from storage to the pharmacy-across numerous African countries. CFAO Healthcare helps strengthen official distribution networks and improves access to quality medicines for all.

In 2025, alongside OPALS, we co-published a white paper entitled "Securing the medicine distribution network in Africa". Its goal is twofold: to raise awareness about the dangers of falsified medicines and to call for concerted, coordinated action to ensure a reliable supply of quality medicines for the African continent.

This commitment also extends to our teams. Through the Health by CFAO program, we take concrete action to improve the living conditions of our employees and their families. We combine awareness, prevention, and access to care for the most impactful diseases on the Continent: HIV, malaria, and diabetes.

Every year, more than 60,000 employees and their family members are made aware of key health issues, and over 100 screening campaigns are organized across Africa.
