At HCD, we work to expand and preserve affordable housing in Tucson. This includes developing and maintaining affordable and public housing, issuing Housing Choice Vouchers (formerly Section 8), serving as the lead agency for the region's Continuum of Care, which coordinates homelessness response across Pima County, assisting homeowners through repair and weatherization programs, and partnering with neighborhoods on revitalization efforts through initiatives such as Thrive in the 05 and 29 Thrive.
