Woman Charged with Making Threat of Mass Violence Against Lipscomb University
Karissa Hamlet, 25, is charged with making a threat of mass violence and making a false report after the director of security at Lipscomb University and Lipscomb Academy received a screenshot of a Facebook post in which Hamlet threatened to blow up the school.
Hamlet made the comments after she shared a news story about Lipscomb's handling of a student-led Charlie Kirk memorial.
Threats against schools, special events and businesses are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.
