Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Growth Markets Fund II, has entered into a joint venture with British International Investment to establish the $300 million North Star renewable energy platform in India.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners is a Danish investment firm specialising in infrastructure investments and is one of the world's largest dedicated renewables investment firms, with €32 billion raised and a project pipeline of 120 GW.
The platform is expected to generate more than 4 million MWh of clean energy annually and avoid approximately 4 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
