Kinross Great Bear invests in Northwestern Ontario’s youth mental health

Kinross Great Bear has announced a $300,000 contribution toward youth mental health initiatives, to be distributed across four regions in Northwestern Ontario. Contributions of $50,000 will be allocated to the Ear Falls and Red Lake communities, and contributions of $100,000 will be allocated to the Lac Seul and Wabauskang First Nations.

The investment follows community consultations which identified youth mental health as a central area for improvement amongst our local and First Nations community partners. The communities are currently assembling a task force to identify the best ways to distribute funding by analyzing the unique circumstances of each community and the best ways to apply funds to support youth in each region.
