Minister Tavio to visit Estonia

Finland's Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will visit Tallinn on 16 September. During his visit, he will meet Estonian Minister of Economy and Industry Erkki Keldo, business representatives and learn about Estonia's startup and innovation ecosystem and the Rail Baltica project.

Minister Ville Tavio will meet Estonian Minister of Economy and Industry Erkki Keldo in Tallinn. The ministers will discuss the prospects for commercial and economic cooperation between Finland and Estonia and topical issues relating to EU trade policy and competitiveness.

"Estonia is an important partner for Finland, and close economic cooperation between our countries promotes competitiveness and security," Minister Tavio says.

While in Tallinn, Minister Tavio will also meet representatives of the Finnish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Finnish businesses operating in Estonia. He will also learn about Estonia's startup and innovation ecosystem during a visit to the Tehnopol Accelerator and explore the progress of the Rail Baltica project.

"Finland and Estonia share many strengths in areas such as digitalisation, innovation and technology. Our close cooperation supports business growth and creates new opportunities for both countries," Minister Tavio says.
