Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Syria 11:26 Statement[...]

On 22 September 2025, the Council adopted implementing Decision (CFSP) 2025/19361, implementing Decision 2013/255/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Syria.

The Council decided that, following the judgment of the General Court in Case T-437/23, one entry should be deleted from the list of natural and legal persons, entities or bodies set out in Annex I to Decision 2013/255/CFSP.

Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova (Republic of), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.

They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
