WASHINGTON, DC-Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11), Chairman of the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) Board of Visitors, USAFA '00 graduate, and a 20+ year fighter pilot and Colonel in the Reserve, joined the Long Blue Leadership Podcast for a wide-ranging conversation on leadership, service, and life since the Academy.
During the episode, Chairman Pfluger reflected on his formative years at the Air Force Academy, shared lessons learned from more than two decades in uniform, and discussed his continued commitment to service as the representative for Texas's 11th Congressional District. He emphasized that throughout his career, strong, principled leadership has been central to mission success and to developing the next generation of leaders.
Chairman Pfluger also offered insight into what leadership means to him and how his values of faith, family, and freedom guide his work in Congress, including his role leading the Republican Study Committee - the largest caucus on Capitol Hill.
