Eyefinity Encompass Introduces New Capabilities and Expanded TriZetto Partnership to Streamline Practice Workflows

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. - Eyefinity^®, a VSP Vision^™ company, announced today the launch of new add-ons coming to the Eyefinity Encompass^® ecosystem, including EncompassScribe, online payments, and an expanded integration with TriZetto Provider Solutions^®. Together, these add-ons further strengthen the Eyefinity Encompass position as a unified platform that brings practice management, electronic health records (EHR), patient engagement, and analytics together in one seamless experience.

EncompassScribe: An AI-Assisted Documentation Tool for Eye Care

Previewed at Vision Expo West in September 2025, Eyefinity is introducing the Early Advantage program for EncompassScribe. Practices can now enroll and receive significant first year savings, in addition to prioritized onboarding to strategically prepare their teams for summer implementation.

EncompassScribe uses artificial intelligence (AI) to capture the natural conversation between provider and patient during an exam and generate proposed exam notes in real time. By streamlining clinical documentation, the tool allows doctors and staff to focus on more meaningful interactions with patients.

"Documentation is consistently one of the biggest pain points we hear from providers-it keeps them at their desks when they'd rather be with their patients," said Biegel. "Most AI scribes produce a transcript that the doctor still has to translate into their chart. EncompassScribe generates structured clinical data that flows directly into the appropriate fields in the patient record. The AI does the heavy lifting, but the doctor always has the final say."

Built directly into the EHR capabilities of Eyefinity Encompass, EncompassScribe automatically generates suggested structured clinical notes and billing codes, populating the appropriate fields within the workflow. Every note and recommendation is only finalized when approved, ensuring providers remain in full control of clinical and billing decisions. Developed using language libraries crafted by practicing eye care professionals, EncompassScribe currently only supports English-language clinical encounters.

Online Payments

Today, most practices still rely on paper statements and phone calls to collect patient balances. Eyefinity will soon offer online payment capabilities, providing patients a convenient, mobile-friendly way to pay their billing statements from any device. This helps practices offer the simplified, modern payment experience patients increasingly expect while reducing time spent on manual collections.

TriZetto Integrated Claims Status Inquiry

Alongside the launch of EncompassScribe and online payments, Eyefinity is also expanding its collaboration with TriZetto Provider Solutions. TriZetto's Claims Status Inquiry (CSI) integrates directly with Eyefinity Encompass. Practices can check claims status without switching systems, reducing the average review time from 12 minutes to under one minute, and eliminating the need to rely on paper EOPs for error correction and resubmission.

Beyond claims status, the integration offers real-time coverage and balance information which helps staff respond to patient questions instantly and confidently, creating a smoother financial and administrative experience. Fewer disconnected systems mean lower burden on staff and more time available for patient care.

Eyefinity is doubling down on future-forward practice technology with even more tools rolling out as the year progresses.
