Provo, UT-September 25, 2025
Angel (NYSE: ANGX), an unprecedented media and technology company driven by 1.5 million grassroots Angel Guild members championing values-based stories, and Monarch Media announce the debut of the official soundtrack for A Week Away Vol. 1 (Music from the Angel Original Series). A Week Away: The Series is now streaming exclusively on the Angel app and at Angel.com, and the soundtrack is available worldwide on all major streaming platforms.
"Ever since I was a child, I have loved musicals. Music has such a way to touch your heart and mind," said Jordan Harmon, President of Angel. "We're excited Monarch Media produced a series that scored off the charts with the Angel Guild and we feel confident it will be beloved by audiences around the world."
The soundtrack, produced by Adam Watts (High School Musical/Camp Rock), features music from the series that blends uplifting anthems, heartfelt ballads, and campfire-style singalongs designed to capture the joy and spirit of Camp Aweegaway. The streams of the song "The Hell of It / It is Well With My Soul" rocketed 531% from the week prior, proving to be a clear fan favorite after its debut in Episode 4 of the series.
"Musicals have a unique ability to uplift hearts and create an instant connection by uniting the power of song, dance, and story," said Ryan Svendsen, Head of Music for Angel. "With Monarch Media's inspiring new A Week Away Series, we believe audiences around the world will be energized and moved by melodies that both entertain and uplift the soul."
Directed by Alan Powell (The Song, Anthem Lights) and produced by Steve Barnett (300, Journey to Bethlehem), A Week Away: The Series transports viewers to Camp Aweegaway, a Christian summer camp filled with adventure, music, and life-changing friendships. With episodes rolling out weekly, the series captures the heart of summer camp: team-building competitions, campfires, heartfelt conversations, and moments that inspire kids to grow in their faith and identity while forming deep bonds that last beyond the week.
Based on the feature film by the same name, the series stars Antonio Cipriano (Phoenix), Cozi Noelle Zuehlsdorff (Dolphin Tale), David Koechner (Charmed) Leigh-Allyn Baker (Charmed, Will & Grace), Sacha Carlson (911:Lone Star) and Carlos PenaVega (Big Time Rush).
"As a filmmaker and as someone whose own life was shaped by camp experiences, it was a joy to bring that world to the screen," said director Alan Powell. "My hope is that audiences will see themselves in these stories and be reminded of the power of community and faith."
