Click on the icon above to access NCSL's Ballot Measures Database, which includes all statewide ballot measures in the 50 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. New measures are added as they qualify for the ballot and are identified by NCSL staff. Results are updated soon after election night.
This database is provided for informational purposes only. For details on ballot measures, please contact the appropriate state's election officials.
Filter ballot measures by year, state, topic, type of measure, status, election or keyword.
Ballot measures with multiple topics appear multiple times in the list. The number in the upper-right corner of the first page and all numbers on the second page reflect the total number of ballot measures within the selected filters. Those numbers are accurate totals, with individual ballot measures counted only once. Duplicated measures are not double counted.
When filtering by statutory or constitutional amendment, check the box labeled "Statutory, Amendment" in addition to the box for "Statutory" or "Amendment." Some ballot measures make statutory and constitutional changes. Checking the "Statutory, Amendment" box will ensure those measures are captured in the total.
