Veterans Day 2025 Service Changes: Parking, Trash, Recycling and More
The City of Frederick offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to observe Veterans Day. Please see below for a list of service changes:
Residential:
There will be NO trash collection service on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday.
- If you normally set your household trash out on Monday evening for Tuesday collection, please set your trash out on Tuesday evening for Wednesdaycollection.
- All other Trash routes are as scheduled.
Commercial Downtown Business District:
Commercial Business Trash Service:
Trash will be collected on the normal schedule.
Commercial Business Recycling Service (not residential):
Recycling will not be collected on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. It will return to the normal schedule on Friday, November 14, 2025.

Yard Waste Collection Services:
There will be NO yard waste collection for NAC 3 & 4 on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
NAC 3 & 4 yard waste collection will resume regular schedule on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Parking
No payment is required at City garages and meters on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Housing and Human Services
The Department of Housing & Human Services will be closed on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The Community Table will be open per its normal schedule. The Food Banks will be closed.
