HILLSBORO, Ore- On July 30, 2026, Washington County Circuit Court Judge Brandon Thompson found Isidro Martinez-Ramirez, age 51, guilty of five counts of sexual abuse in the first degree and sodomy in the first degree (Jessica's Law). Senior Deputy District Attorney Chris Lewman prosecuted this case.
The defendant sexually abused the minor victim in this case dozens of times over a three-year period when she was between seven and nine years old. In 2015, the victim reported this abuse to her mother and law enforcement. Her mother was initially uncooperative with the investigation, and police were unable to locate the defendant.
In December of 2021, the victim told a counselor about the abuse. The counselor notified the Forest Grove Police Department and the Oregon Department of Human Services. The victim also met with medical experts at CARES Northwest, where she provided additional details.
In 2021, the defendant was convicted of attempted sodomy in the first degree in a separate case after he provided a minor with methamphetamine and sexually assaulted the teen.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for August 27, 2026. The defendant will remain in custody pending sentencing.
