Woman Arrested in Connection to 2021 Death

A woman has been arrested in connection to the death of a five-year-old child in 2021.

On February 5, 2021, the Portland Police Bureau's Child Abuse Team began an investigation after a five-year-old child was brought to a Portland-area hospital with significant injuries. The child died several days later as a result of those injuries.
On August 5, 2026, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted 29-year-old Taliah Graham of Vancouver, Washington, in connection with the child's death. An arrest warrant was issued charging Graham with Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree.
On August 11, 2026, members of the Portland Police Bureau's Homicide Unit, with assistance from the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), located and arrested Graham. She was lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center on the outstanding arrest warrant.
This remains an ongoing investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.
