On September 29, 2025, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the NGO Startup Ukraine will host the closing ceremony of the EU-funded Veteran Business Development and Mentorship Programme.

The one-day event will bring together up to 100 veteran entrepreneurs from Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Lviv regions who successfully completed the programme alongside representatives of government institutions, international partners, business experts and the broader community.

  • Robert Turner, IOM Ukraine Chief of Mission

  • Gediminas Navickas, Deputy Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine

Ukrainian is the working language. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

Background information: The EUR 6 million EU-funded IOM-implemented veteran reintegration project has been running since September 2024. It includes business support, vocational training and job fairs, targeted community assistance to promote cohesion, mental health and psychosocial support services and activities, as well as technical assistance to the government of Ukraine and civil society organizations.
